Behind the Spotlight - Stories Behind the Icons
What happens when a new generation steps into the music, the movement and the stories of two
extraordinary women?
Behind the Spotlight brings the worlds of Tina Turner and Whitney Houston to life through live music,
theatre, dance and drama, with a new generation of young performers helping to tell their stories on
stage.
This isn't simply a collection of hit songs. Tina's story unfolds through powerful choreography and
dance, while dramatic performances and acting take the audience behind the public image to discover the
stories, struggles and triumphs behind the icons.
With live vocals, a live band, young dancers and actors, the past and present come together on one stage.
Audiences who grew up with Tina and Whitney can relive an unforgettable era, while younger performers, and a younger generation discover the music and the women behind it in an entirely different way.
From Tina's explosive energy and movement to Whitney's extraordinary songs and story, the stage
becomes
a place where music becomes theatre, dance becomes storytelling, and generations meet.
They know the songs. Now experience the stories behind the icons.
