Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a
beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin,
Annie JR. features everyone’s favourite little redhead in her very first adventure. Set in 1930s New York
City, Annie JR. follows little orphan Annie, a courageous and endlessly optimistic young girl determined
to find the parents who left her on the doorstep of an orphanage years ago. Life under the watchful eye
of the cruel Miss Hannigan is far from easy, but Annie refuses to let her circumstances dampen her spirit.
When a chance encounter leads her into the glamorous world of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, Annie’s life
is turned upside down and she may finally find the family and home she has always dreamed of.
Featuring much-loved songs including “Tomorrow,” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life”, Annie JR. is a
joyful celebration of hope, friendship, family and believing that better days are just around the corner.
